These terms apply to the use of this website and to tour services provided by Iain Stevenson, trading as Oxford Tour Guide.
1. Website Information
Information provided on this website is offered in good faith. Details may change without notice. Visitors are encouraged to confirm arrangements directly where necessary.
2. Bookings & Communication
Tour bookings are confirmed in writing via email or WhatsApp, specifying the agreed date, time, duration and fee.
For private tours, payment is normally required in advance via secure card payment (e.g. Square), unless otherwise agreed.
For corporate or institutional clients, an invoice may be issued with agreed payment terms, typically 30 days from the invoice date.
A deposit may occasionally be requested for larger or specialist group bookings.
3. Group Size
The maximum group size for a single guide is 25 participants, in accordance with the requirements of public liability insurance under the Oxford Guild of Tour Guides umbrella policy.
Larger groups may be accommodated by arrangement with additional qualified Oxford Guild guides, with fees calculated accordingly.
4. Cancellation
For bookings paid in advance:

Cancellations more than 7 days before the tour may be refunded at discretion.

Cancellations within 7 days of the tour are normally non-refundable.

Cancellations within 48 hours of the tour are fully chargeable.
If a participant is unable to attend due to illness, refunds or rescheduling may be offered at discretion. Medical confirmation may be requested where appropriate for insurance purposes.
In the unlikely event that Oxford Tour Guide must cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, any payments received will be refunded in full. Liability is limited to the amount paid.
5. Access to University Sites
Access to colleges, the Divinity School and other university buildings is subject to availability, institutional regulations and opening times.
Access cannot be guaranteed and may vary due to University requirements, private events or term schedules.
No liability is accepted for changes imposed by third parties.
6. Participant Responsibility
Participants are responsible for their own safety and belongings during tours.
Tours operate on public streets and within working academic institutions. Appropriate footwear and awareness are advised.
7. Liability
Every effort is made to ensure accuracy and professionalism. Liability for loss, injury or damage is excluded except where required by law.
8. Intellectual Property
All written content on this website is the intellectual property of Oxford Tour Guide and may not be reproduced without permission.
